As a producer and engineer, Giles favours an organic approach, often working with bands playing together in the spacious live room of Lightship 95. His recordings and mixes have hundreds of millions of streams on Spotify. Before taking over the studio on the ship with Dave Holmes, he co-ran Soup Studios for over a decade, alongside playing bass in Tigercats and producing ambient music with Moebius Delta. The 2020s have seen an increasing demand for his services as a mix engineer, now based out of the mix room built with David Holmes on Lightship 95, with credits including Ashley Henry, Bess Atwell and Kaya Thomas-Dyke. Recent production credits include Don’t Problem, Teeth of the Sea, Bess Atwell, Angèle David-Guillou & Johnny Flynn, and engineering credits include Alfa Mist, Ezra Collective, Nubya Garcia, Joe Armon-Jones, The Ligeti Quartet, Ghostpoet, Moses Boyd, Steam Down & Sampa the Great.
