Session Rates at Lightship 95

Studio 1 recording session - dry hire with an assistant

8 hour day session - £495

10 hour day session - £620

12 hour day session - £750

Hourly rate sessions - £67.50 per hour - please note the minimum booking time of 3 hours

Discounts available for block bookings of 4 days or more - get in touch to discuss the best rate for your project.

Unsigned Artist special rates: book a session with one of our engineers for the same price as a dry hire.

Studio 1 recording session with an engineer

8 hour day session - £600

10 hour day session - £750

12 hour day session - £900

Hourly rate sessions - £80 per hour - please note the minimum booking time of 3 hours, or 4 hours for sessions with drums

Location Hire - Commercial Filming

Hourly rate - £140 per hour - please note the minimum booking time of 3 hours

Daily rate - £1200

Location hire bookings come with access to the whole of Studio 1 and the top deck for exterior shooting. An assistant will be on hand during your shoot.

Live Video Sessions with an engineer - filming rates for independent artists

8 hour day sessions - £650

Hourly rate - £78 per hour - please note a minimum booking time of 3 hours

Studio 2 sessions - for mixing, editing or ‘mix doctor’ sessions with an engineer

8 hour mix sessions - £345

Hourly rate mix sessions  - £48 per hour

Bespoke mix rates per track or album are also available - get in touch to discuss your project

Please note Studio 2 sessions are available Mon-Fri from 10am-6pm only. Studio 2 is not suitable for professional recording, only mixing. Studio 2 is only available for dry hire very occasionally, get in touch for the latest rates

Mastering Rates

Singles or EPs up to 4 tracks: £65 per track

EPs or albums of 5 to 8 tracks: £55 per track

EPs or albums of 9 tracks or more: £45 per track

Redbook CD package with ISRC: £10 per album

Processing for vinyl: £10 per album

Alternate versions: £10 per version per track

Tape processing: £67.50 per hour of work - a typical album is 2 hours to process and an EP of up to 25 minutes is 1 hour.

  • My second recording session on the ship and another fantastic experience. First of all, everything worked! How many studios have I been in where half the channels don't work, or we spend a ton of time looking for new cables because the old ones don't work? Giles was outstanding as he was last time. Such a welcoming environment, respect for the project which is so important when you're creating new stuff. Any problems were removed quickly and with a 'can do' attitude with loads of options presented to me. Giles even took time to re solder some equipment when I had forgotten to bring the bit I needed! Amazing service!!
