Dave Holmes has been producing, recording, mixing, writing, playing and performing music for more than 22 years. Cutting his teeth in his native New Zealand, he has been based in London for the last 10 years.

Dave's quest for tone has seen him working in a vast range of genres. From jazz (Alfa Mist, Rosie Turton, Maisha, Adrian Cox), to the more brutal ends of guitar music (Jakob, Domes, Kerretta, Blue Stragglers) with many stops along the way. With a mix of technical proficiency, reckless rule breaking and "kiwi ingenuity", Dave is committed to crafting records that reflect originality and attention to detail.

Over the years he has been perfecting his mixing and recently set up a mix room with longtime friend, Giles Barrett, in the Sausage factory in Camberwell, seeing him firmly placed in the heart of South-east London’s vibrant music scene.

Recent clients include Archie, Polythene, Saint Agnes, Rosalie Cunningham, Komaine, Orava, Johanna Burnheart, Serendip, Nubya Garcia, Kerretta, and the inimitable Levitation Orchestra.
